My thoughts will always remain about those innocent people who lost their lives in this very tragic accident..may they Rest in Peace…
I was born in a house under the centre line of the grass runway SE/NE and for seventy five years or more aircraft flew right over our house in Connaught Avenue..there was never any thought of damage being caused. So…it came as a tragic surprise as I saw, the accident, and resulting deaths, and Injuries, to innocent people, just going about their business. My thoughts of them is
always going to be with me, and how Sorry I feel is one of being very respectful. My condolences
are sent to all families concerned…Also many have to carry a burden of concern…having organised the Airshow…I sincerely hope, they feel no guilt…and the passage of time will lessen any pain felt..by every one who cares….
thoughts and prayers to all involved, may you all rip.
Our thoughts are with those who lost their lives, the loved ones who lost someone special and to all, who like us, witnessed this tragic event first hand! RIP xx
My Wife and myself were by the river that day. From no more than 500 metres away, we watched the Hunter as it flew around us and into the loop that still haunts us in quiet moments. I hope the families that suffered and lost so much on that day know they are not forgotten, that their loved ones cannot have suffered and that they will be remembered. I also hope that the Pilot can find peace; I saw him rolling away from the road, if only to no avail. Whatever caused this awful tragedy, there was bravery and courage. We couldn’t help, we could only get out of the way – others were closer. We also saw the fire tenders from surrounding towns driving at full speed on country lanes to get to the scene; the finest human behaviour in the worst of times.
May they Rest in Peace and Love to those they have left behind.
My thoughts and the thoughts of many in the Town of Polegate send their sincere condolences to all those involved in the Air Crash at Shoreham.
One of the worst incidents of it’s kind, the terrible and tragic loss of life cannot be described. The emergency services also need to be praised for their efforts in extreme circumstances.
Out thoughts and prayers go to all those who have lost loved ones.
Cllr David Watts
Mayor Of Polegate

To Daniele’s family and friends,
We are deeply saddened to hear the news of Daniele’s passing away.
Daniele was at our school for a short time but always had a smile on his face and was full of life, ideas and energy. We were so pleased that he was successful at Worthing college when he moved on from our school.
On behalf of all from Littlehampton TLC, we miss you
Doug Thomas Co-Head teacher WSAPC (formally TLC college)
